The Business Systems Engineer, Camera Technician is responsible for installing and maintaining all Arrowsight and Samsara program cameras across Posillico and affiliate construction equipment and fleet vehicles. The Camera Technician coordinates with the Business Systems and Shop teams to determine installation and maintenance priorities and scheduling. The Camera Technician also works with camera equipment vendors and Arrowsight/Samsara teams on connectivity, troubleshooting and innovation initiatives.
Typical Responsibilities
• Work with the Business Systems and Shop teams to identify installation and maintenance priorities and schedule
• Ensure all equipment is prepared and tested prior to scheduled field work
• Coordinate installation/maintenance scheduling and required equipment downtime with project teams
• Perform all camera/device installations on construction equipment and fleet vehicles in accordance with Posillico standard operating procedures
• Integrate MDVR’s into construction equipment/fleet vehicle electrical systems; troubleshoot electrical problems to facilitate camera/device installation and/or repair
• Perform all maintenance and repair on previously installed camera/devices as necessary
• Camera bracket design and fabrication in the field to custom fit equipment/vehicle needs
• Document and submit completed work records through existing systems
• Collaborate with Project Executives and staff to plan job site camera coverage
• Perform monthly camera coverage, job site inspections
• Attend weekly and planning meetings as required
• Field experience in the construction industry is helpful
• Highly skilled in working with 12-24 DC volt systems (i.e., automotive/truck/heavy construction equipment)
• Experience working on interior and exterior vehicle and equipment panel removal and reinstallation
• Must be capable of meeting deadlines, self-motivated, detail oriented and highly organized
• Must have exceptional interpersonal skills
• Must have excellent communication skills
• Advanced computer skills are required
