POSITION SUMMARY:
The Jr. Estimator will provide and/or coordinate support services to the Sr. Estimator in the preparation of bids and proposals for large, complex work and all types of contracts.

• Bid setup, summary form data entry, and bid scheduling.
• Review and incorporate historical data from productivity analysis reports, etc. into unit and man-hour figures.
• Provide take off and technical support to senior estimating team members.
• Review proposal specifications, drawings, attend pre-bid meetings, etc. to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
• Visit proposed work locations to observe and document existing conditions.
• Heavy Bid maintenance (labor, crew, activity, and bid master codebooks)
• Solicit, document, and analyze subcontractor/vendors quotations.
• Ensure all working documents and data are maintained to back-up estimate figures.
• Provide award related submittals
• Perform vendor/subcontractor solicitations and assist in preparation of inquiries and final evaluation of submitted bids as required.
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.

• Education and experience requirements include: 4-year engineering degree or equivalent combinations technical training and/or related experience.
• Cost estimating curriculum preferred.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• General knowledge of OSHA standards is preferred.

SOFTWARE SKILLS:
• Microsoft Office applications
• Scheduling software/CPM (including Primavera and MS Project)
• Strong technical and proposal writing skills
• Familiarity with cloud-based software solutions
